![]() Many trans people may also have gone under the radar for survival purposes. This means that we only have access to glimpses of history from specific perspectives. This gallery presents only some of the rich tapestry of trans people throughout different cultures and times. To help us start learning more about our history and where we came from, we’ve created a gallery of trans history and culture. ![]() Finding out about it can be more challenging though, particularly since many cultures pass on history through story-telling and art, not in books written in English. It’s always good to be reminded that when gender diversity manifests today, that’s because it’s always existed. Australia is home to some of the longest living trans cultures on earth, and Sistergirls and Brotherboys show up in every Aboriginal nation in this country. Trans people do and have lived on almost every continent, including this one. Trans people have existed in every town, city and country since before recorded history. Oh God, I don’t even know what I’m saying… still, it does say “Anna Chips in” and not “Anna opines in an articulate and incisive fashion. One myth about trans people is that we’re a new thing, or a temporary fad, when nothing could be further from the truth. Still, Grace is a really cool chick and I like her channel. I suppose another argument is that it helps you work through your own trans issues and journey to make videos… but I have found from earlier mistakes, that when you look back as the way you worked out your problems in public, you feel embarrassed. But, one day you gotta go out into the big bad world and have an identity that goes beyond being trans. So… I get why transgirls make so many videos about trans issues and experience: it guarantees them an audience. nobody would watch them! However, if I made a bunch of trans videos then people would watch them. If I was going to make videos, I’d make them about cooking and fashion and politics.Īnd. I don’t want to be talking about it all the time. Personally, I find being a transwoman to be stressful and overbearing enough. However, she does something which I have to say annoys me: she never stops talking about being trans. ![]() Ok, novagirls, I don’t want to influence your reaction, but Grace is the most beautiful girl on this page (in my humble opinion.) If you’re gonna be exposing yourself on social media, then invest the time in discovering those angles, girl! ![]() I won’t name examples cos this page is all about the love and beauty… but I’ll give you some free advice: every girl needs to know which angle and lighting makes her look better or worse, but for a transgirl it’s even more important because often that worse includes … looking like the biology you were born into. The photos here often represent the best on a girl’s page… but if you go look at the rest of them, there are some pages where some bad photo choices have been made. While preparing this list I was starting to consider a career as an Instagram consultant. Honest to God, I felt really bad about that at first, but being made to feel inadequate by Instagram girls… is probably a bloody good lesson in being female. As you’re probably not the sort to look for transgirls for kicks… but because you’re a transgirl yourself, you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed by the beauty on this page. There should probably be a trigger warning with this list. (Editor’s note: to break up the endless stream of images, the author of this post will sometimes add comments and observations.)
